Benjamin Franklin Seminars

Students who are members of the Benjamin Franklin Scholars program have automatic access to these seminars; however, any undergraduate may enroll in a Benjamin Franklin seminar. While most are introductory, they may be taken at any time. See the Benjamin Franklin Scholars website for listings.

Policies Governing Graduate Courses

While primarily intended for graduate students, courses numbered 5000-5999 are also open to undergraduate students. Registration for courses numbered 6000 and above requires permission of the instructor and the department or program leadership (undergraduate chair, program director, or chair) in which the course is offered.

Policies Governing Courses in the College of Liberal and Professional Studies

Important Note

College of Arts and Sciences students may not enroll in, and will not receive credit for, BAAS courses through the College of Liberal and Professional Studies.

Registering for LPS Courses

Students in the College of Arts and Sciences may register for some courses in the College of Liberal and Professional Studies (LPS) courses through Path@Penn.
Note that a certain number of spaces may be reserved for LPS students until the first week of classes. On the second day of classes, any unclaimed seats held for LPS students will be made available to non-LPS students. Interested students should attempt to register for the course through Path@Penn at that time.
College students may direct questions about enrollment policies for specific LPS classes to the LPS office.
