Program Coordinator for College Pre-Major Advising

Bio

Karen Medina serves as Program Coordinator for College Pre-Major Advising, where she works closely with the advising team to support Pre-Major Advisors and help students navigate their academic journeys with confidence. She also works closely with Carolyn Ureña, Ph.D., Associate Dean and Director of Academic Advising, to provide support to students, advisors, staff, and partners across the College.

Born and raised in Colombia, Karen brings warmth, energy, and an international perspective to her role. She has lived in Philadelphia since 2014, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from Jefferson University and recently completed her Master of Science in Higher Education at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.

Karen is passionate about helping students and staff feel supported, connected, and empowered as they explore their goals and make the most of their college experience.
