Christopher Donovan

Bio
Dr. Donovan is a Philadelphia native and Penn alum. He holds a B.A. in English from Penn and a PhD in Contemporary American Literature from New York University. He returned to Penn in 1999, serving a long tenure as the Dean of Gregory College House before joining the College Office, where he currently serves as Assistant Dean for Advising. He has been an academic advisor and instructor at Penn for more than 25 years, and regularly teaches first year seminars in Cinema and Media Studies, including courses on science fiction, noir, criticism and the Coen brothers. Besides film and literature, he has a particular interest in photography, particularly travel and wildlife.
